salzburg-card.com is an independent information and booking site for the Salzburg Card. The Salzburg Card is Salzburg's official tourist card, issued by Tourismus Salzburg GmbH, the city's official tourism organisation. The card combines free entry to attractions with free public transport, and it's available for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
You can explore Salzburg's Old Town on foot, but not its heights. The Fortress Railway runs up to Hohensalzburg Fortress and the lift up to the Mönchsberg, and both are included in the card, as are city buses, trolley buses and the Salzach river cruise; ÖBB trains, however, are not. What the card costs also depends on the date, because Tourismus Salzburg distinguishes between low and high season.
