What is the Salzburg Card?+
The Salzburg Card is the official tourist card for Salzburg: one-time free admission to around 30 attractions plus free public transport, for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Included are, among others, Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mozart's Birthplace, Hellbrunn Palace and Haus der Natur. More on the FAQ page.
How do I receive the Salzburg Card after purchase?+
You receive a digital voucher by email, which you exchange for the physical Salzburg Card on site. Redemption points:
When does the validity period begin?+
Validity only starts with the first use of the physical card, not at purchase or exchange. Example: first use at 10:00, card valid until 10:00 the following day (for 24h). Tip: activate the card in the late morning to get the most out of it.
Which public transport services are included?+
Valid on: trolleybus lines 1-14, Albus lines 20-28, 31, 34-36, 151, the S1 local railway as far as Acharting, and selected Postbus routes to the surrounding area. Trolleybus line 2 to the airport is also included. Not valid on ÖBB S-Bahn lines.
Can the voucher be cancelled?+
Yes, unredeemed vouchers can be cancelled or rebooked free of charge up to 24 hours before the visit date. Once the card has been redeemed and activated, no refund is possible.
